ALVES DEAL ON FOR BARCA

Barcelona are set to beat Real Madrid for Sevilla fullback Daniel Alves.

El Mundo Deportivo says a Barca source close to the negotiating table has revealed a preliminary £20 million cash agreement has been struck between the two clubs.

Barca had initially offered £16 million plus Giovani dos Santos, but Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido turned it down, insisting he would only consider a cash deal.
